Black Friday shopping {15 Nov 17}
So who is ready for some Black Friday shopping? There are probably plenty of you reading that are shopping for the perfect DSLR camera to capture better images of your family. I am sure there are many of you who see these deals on cameras and it reads $400 off, so of course you think oh this is a great deal! Right? Maybe wrong...Most of the time these cameras are the lowest model available and you could probably find it that cheap today if you just did your homework and shopped around. There are many sites where you can buy used camera gear that is barely used and get amazing deals. There are also some online retailers that offer great prices all the time on new gear too. You have to be careful of the big box stores and how misleading some of their adds can be. Sometimes you can get caught up in the rush and excitement of Black Friday, but make sure you do your homework on the camera you have your eye on. Here are a few sites that I personally purchase from; I am not affiliated with them or get anything from them for sharing their link except knowing my readers are getting some of the best deals out there.

When shopping, research what the shutter is rated for (how many times can you press the shutter button before the shutter is expected to fail), megapixels, frames per second, ISO capability, video capability, number of focus points and wifi capability to name some of my most important specs.
Compare models...For example type in Nikon 3400 vs Canon T6i in google and it will help you weigh the pros and cons.
Lastly, the lenses that come with the camera are not high quality lens, so most of the time, it is more cost effective to buy the camera body separate and then purchase lenses. You can purchase off brand lenses such as Sigma or Tamron, just make sure if you have a Canon body that you get a Canon mount or Nikon mount for Nikon, Sony for Sony, etc.
